Why AtWell is different

01
Root cause, not quick fixes
Most clinics treat symptoms. We diagnose the underlying cause of your pain using a thorough biomechanical assessment and treat it at the source. This means fewer sessions, longer-lasting results, and a clear understanding of why you hurt in the first place.
02
Hands-on from session one
No clipboard-only assessments. You receive diagnosis, manual therapy, and a take-home plan in your very first appointment.
03
Your plan, not a template
Every treatment programme is individually designed around your goals, lifestyle, and how your body responds. No generic exercise sheets.

Frequently asked

No. You can book directly without a referral. If you are using private health insurance, your insurer may require GP authorisation before your first session, but we can guide you through that process.
Most patients are seen within 24 to 48 hours. We keep appointment slots available specifically for urgent or acute presentations. Call us and we will do our best to see you the same day if needed.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being treated. Shorts and a loose top work well for most assessments. We have a private treatment room and can provide gowns if needed.
This depends on the condition, its severity, and how long you have had it. Most patients see significant improvement within 3 to 6 sessions. After your initial assessment, Amie will give you a clear, honest prognosis and estimated treatment timeline.
Currently all appointments are held at our clinic in Balsall Common. The clinic is fully accessible with ground-floor treatment rooms and free parking outside. If mobility is a concern, please let us know and we can discuss options.
We are recognised by Bupa, AXA, Aviva, Vitality, Healix, WPA, Cigna, Nuffield Health, Simplyhealth (via Ascenti/Nuffield), and Allianz. Most policies cover physiotherapy but may require pre-authorisation from your GP or insurer. Contact your provider or ask us and we will help you check.
