Frequently asked questions
No. Microsuction is generally comfortable. You may hear a suction noise which can be briefly loud, but the procedure is not painful. It is significantly more comfortable than ear syringing.
It is not essential, but using olive oil drops for 2-3 days beforehand can soften the wax and make removal easier. We can still treat you without prior drops.
This varies. Some people produce more wax than others. If you wear hearing aids or use earbuds regularly, you may benefit from 6-monthly microsuction.
