Referral pathway
Partner with AtWell.
Your patients, in safe hands.
We offer GPs and healthcare partners a clear, dependable referral pathway — with fast access, specialist services, and consistent communication back to you.
Why refer to AtWell
The referral experience
your patients deserve.
We understand that referring clinicians need confidence: that their patient will be seen promptly, cared for properly, and that you’ll be kept informed at every step.
Fast turnaround
We offer rapid appointment availability — typically within days, not weeks. Urgent cases are prioritised. We know your patients can't wait.
Clear communication back to you
Every patient seen by referral receives a prompt, structured letter back to their referring clinician. No chasing. No silence. You'll know what we found and what we've done.
Dedicated services in one place
From health checks and dermatology to occupational health and diagnostic testing — we offer a range of services under one roof, reducing the referral chain for your patients.
Regulated and indemnified
All AtWell clinicians are registered with the GMC or relevant professional bodies and hold current indemnity cover. Fully insured, CQC registration in progress.
Responsive to your needs
Have a clinical question about a patient you're considering referring? Call us. We welcome peer discussion and will give you a straight answer.
Clear, jargon-free reports
Our clinical letters are written for referring clinicians — structured, evidence-referenced, and actionable. No padding, no waffle.
The referral process
Three steps.
Straightforward.
We’ve made referring to AtWell as simple as possible — because your time is as valuable as your patient’s.
Send your referral
Email referrals@wellclinics.co.uk or call 01676 545111. Include the patient's name, date of birth, brief clinical summary, and the service you're referring to. A referral letter is helpful but not mandatory.
We contact your patient
Our team will contact the patient directly within one working day to arrange their appointment. Urgent referrals are triaged and seen as quickly as possible — often the same or next day.
You receive a letter
Within 48 hours of the appointment, a structured clinical letter is sent to the referring clinician. All findings, actions taken, and any onward recommendations are clearly documented.

Regulated, indemnified, and accountable
AtWell is in the process of registering with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and is fully insured. All clinicians hold current registration with the GMC, HCPC, or their relevant professional body, and maintain appropriate medical indemnity. Referrals are handled with the same standards you expect of any regulated healthcare provider.
