Eczema

Personalised eczema management with effective prescription treatments.

Eczema (atopic dermatitis) is a chronic skin condition that causes dry, itchy, inflamed skin. It can flare up unpredictably and significantly affect quality of life. While there is no cure, the right management plan — using the correct emollients, topical treatments, and trigger avoidance — can dramatically reduce flare-ups and keep skin comfortable.

Common symptoms

  • Dry, itchy, red, or inflamed patches of skin
  • Cracked, sore, or weeping skin during flare-ups
  • Thickened, rough skin from chronic scratching
  • Sleep disruption caused by itching
  • Skin that worsens with certain triggers (stress, weather, products)
  • Secondary skin infections from broken skin

When to see a doctor

If your eczema is not controlled with over-the-counter emollients and 1% hydrocortisone, if flare-ups are frequent or severe, if you suspect a skin infection, or if eczema is affecting your sleep or quality of life, medical assessment is recommended.

How we help at AtWell

We assess the type and severity of your eczema, identify triggers, and build a structured management plan. This may include prescription emollients, topical steroids, steroid-sparing treatments, or referral to a dermatologist for biologics or phototherapy in severe cases.
